The Firm
Ladd & Co. is a private advisory firm acting for principals, families, and private institutions across M&A, capital placement, structuring, and related mandates. The firm is family owned, operates across nine cities, and does not advertise its work. Clients come to us on a name, and they stay for generations.
The Role
You take a coverage area, one city or two and one vertical, and you own it. You build the book, you run the introduction calls, you surface live situations, and you close engagement agreements. The firm's deal teams execute every mandate behind you.
This is end-to-end origination. Not appointment setting, not account management. You find the situation, you run the conversation, you present the mandate review, and you get the agreement signed. The training gives you the entire system, the same doctrine our partners run, from the first touch to the signature.
What the firm provides
The platform, your firm identity, the training, the collateral, the deal teams, and the process. Every tool a coverage banker at a serious firm has, without the twelve years it usually takes to be handed them. You bring the work. We bring everything else.
The economics
The shape is simple, and the exact terms live in the agreement and the final call.
You start commission only. For your first ninety days you are paid a share of what you close, and nothing else. Your share is paid within twenty-four hours of client funds landing, and mandates carry fees at engagement, through the work, and at completion, so a closed engagement keeps paying you as it runs.
Production earns the base. Close consistently through the proving period and the seat converts: an earned monthly base, improved shares, and a firm-funded Associate attached to you, whose whole job is keeping your calendar full.
The ladder is real. Director is where you start. Managing Director is earned on production, with the economics to match. The path exists because we intend people to climb it.
The process

Watch the film and apply. The application asks you to claim a coverage area and name who you can credibly reach in it. Answer specifically.

Screening call. Twenty minutes, online, recorded. We ask direct questions about your market, your runway, and your reasons.

The Origination Plan. Pass the screen and you have seventy-two hours to submit one page: the coverage you would claim, fifteen to twenty named targets you can credibly access, and how you would work your first ninety days.

Final call. Fifteen minutes, walking your plan.

Offer. Start the following Monday. Training is your first week. Your plan becomes your ramp.
Who this is for
People who can already sell and are capped where they are. Brokers, closers, business development people, recruiters, bankers early in their careers, anyone who backs themselves against a real market with a real firm behind them and wants what they produce, not what a salary band allows.
Who this is not for
Anyone who needs a salary from day one. There is no base until it is earned, and we say that here so nobody's time is wasted, including yours. If that rules you out today, it may not rule you out in a year, and the door does not close.
